SELF DEFENCE

Jim is a qualified self defence instructor and offers realistic self awareness and defence training to individuals and small groups. Informative, practical and fun are key components to these sessions.

RISK ASSESSMENT

If you deliver courses that have a practical element ie: breakaway/restraint training, then I can assist or undertake relevant risk assessments of your training.

Physical intervention training in particular can potentially cause injury, physical or psychological to participants in many ways. Risk assessing your full course is important for the safety of all involved.

Organisations have obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (OHS Act) to ensure the health and safety of people ‘so far as reasonably practicable’.

  • What harm can occur?

  • What factors could influence the severity of an injury?

How many people could be harmed?

  • Are there circumstances that could magnify the severity of an injury or incident?

LECTURES AND PRESENTING

I am available to present at conferences relating to healthcare aggression and security in UK and Australia.
Conferences are tailored to meet the needs for your specific audiences or small group. I can design group workshops for your company that will relate to your staff and improve their performance.
